Back from South America

For those of you who were interested, we returned March 1st from our trip around the Horn in South America. We have seen and done wonderful things. Rode with the Gauchos on the Pampas in Argentina, visited wineries in Uruquay and Chile, got pecked by a Penquin in the Falkland Islands, rounded the Horn, hiked in Tierra del Fuego and seen huge glaciers in the Beagle Channel. We also visited the largest Penquin Colony in Chile, a small uninhabited island in the Straits of Magellan with over 100,000 Penquins (didn't get pecked there). To top things off we hiked in the rain forest in Chile where there are 3,000+ year old trees, and took an incredible horseback ride up the side of a mountain in the Andes to encounter a Condor who soared past within 20 feet of us. Our heads are still in the clouds over the Andes but our feet are back in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Looking forward to welcoming you back to Abacot Hall this season.
Pauline and Mike.
